  • Use of More than One Camera
Use of one camera is a must – especially if you are shooting under different light situations. While low-light capturing of an event might demand for a particular lens or a particular setting, shooting under bright sunlight might ask for a different setting altogether. Also, for shooting a video in different angles, you can fix one camera on a tripod, and take the other one as a handheld or on a monopod.
  • A Good Tripod can be of Great Help
Invest in a good and worthy tripod. While you might be taking a round in the venue with one camera on a monopod, fix the second camera with wide angle on a steady tripod. A good one will ensure that the gadget doesn’t get knocked over while recording every single instant from start to finish including the key moments.

Remember, the photographer is not your competitor, but a team to accomplish the wedding as a successful project to make the couple happy. And, if you’re shooting solo, the photographer is even more important because they can help you.
  • Reach the Venue Early
If you are the solo videographer in a wedding, your time will be crunched. So you may want to get to the venue an hour early to collect yourself and grab a few establishing shots without the pressure of major moments happening one after another.
  • Use Up your Downtime for the Best
Use your “inactive” moments in clicking personalized frames for the photo sessions. Or you may even use it for your own refreshments and eating. You will need it to survive the rest of the event.
  • Know your Kits well Prior to the Big Day
Get familiar with every piece and features of your gadgets so that you don’t waste time discovering them during the wedding. Even in case of a feature malfunction, knowing the gadget well would ensure that you know how to get it fixed. Also, a good camera strap with detach and reattach options is also essential, and hence a must-have in the kit.
  • Invest in a Good Baggage
Go for a functional baggage kit that can accommodate all the gadgets and accessories. Make sure to go for a roller bag and not a backpack to carry on your shoulders. A tripod bag without wheels might hurt your shoulders. Similarly, a multipurpose baggage would make a huge difference, especially for the solo videographers.
